It's summer. A sea breeze blows in off the dunes, jazz riffs waft in from an upwind trumpet. You've just come in from sailing and the neighbors are coming over soon for cocktails. Time to bring out the Newport Bistro. Will it be margaritas in the ice cold pitcher, or a tray of gin and tonics? Streamlined and fluid, these modern metal serving pieces set a casual yet refined tone. Each is hand-cast of a brightly polished, food-safe aluminum alloy, able to withstand freezer temps and oven or stovetop heating up to 1000 degrees F. That means you can chill or heat a tray, bowl, or pitcher before use, and the dense metal will retain that temperature for a long time during serving. Arrange the oval tray with oysters on ice, pile the rectangular one with French toast. Bowls are ready to be filled with fruit or salad. While knife scratches add to its patina, Bistro will not chip, tarnish, or dent and simply needs to be washed and dried by hand. Wilton Armetale is a family-run company founded in the late 1800s in Pennsylvania, where the products are still made. |
